The approach of autumn brings thoughts of back to school, fall colors, and the opening of the Presbyterian Women’s year. All women of the church are encouraged to join us in a variety of activities that strengthen our relationships with God and each other as we strive to do the work of God in our community and the world.
We gather for Bible study, for fellowship, and to learn. Nine circles engage in Bible study and develop strong bonds of friendship. Whether you are a new member of WPC or a not-so-new member who would enjoy the opportunity to deepen your faith and make new friends, we invite you to join a circle. Circles meet monthly from September through May. Please contact Pat Murray for more information and to find a circle that is right for you. In addition, the Presbyterian women sponsor a book club. Ellen Peters can provide additional information.
Luncheons on October 23, 2024 and May 28, 2025 will feed body and soul, encourage fellowship, and provide entertaining and informative programs. Please mark your calendars now and watch your bulletins for additional information as the dates approach.
Presbyterian women actively assist local and foreign missions. We extend our reach internationally to our sister church in Chajul, Guatemala, emphasizing that church’s educational program. Each fall we choose a local mission, hosting a free, informative luncheon open to all women and men of the church, accepting donations for the mission. This year’s mission luncheon is scheduled for Sunday, April 27 after the 11:00 service. We hope to see you there! We expand our reach to local service organizations through the Gift of Christmas, raising funds for an extensive list of local charities.
Presbyterian women are busy, engaged, joyful and grateful. We hope you will join us and find your niche!
