Join Us May 15 - 18, 2025
Hurricane Helene struck the western part of North Carolina in late September 2024. Residents in the path continue to recover from the devastating storm, and now WPC family members have the opportunity to help in person. We are putting together a team of volunteers to travel to Montreat/Black Mountain, NC on Thursday, May 15 through Sunday, May 18. Our team will work with Black Mountain Presbyterian Church, possibly clearing downed trees, performing home repairs, and clearing away trash and debris.
We will...
- Travel to NC on the church bus on Thursday, May 15
- Work on Friday/Saturday
- Return on Sunday following worship at Black Mountain Presbyterian
- Stay in the Glen Rock Inn, Montreat
...all while enjoying May in the mountains with friends.
The cost of this trip is $100 (or free if unable to pay), three meals at a local restaurant (to leave a little money in this economically damaged community) plus meals en route.
This trip is limited to 20 participants because of lodging arrangements (10 rooms with two single beds each).
