The Campus Ministry Team members Nancy Hammond, Jim Austin, Patty and Terry Hancock, Kim Silver, Jane Snyder, Denny and Sue Yeingst would like you to remember that students are arriving at William and Mary throughout the next few weeks. We would like every member of our congregation to take time to greet them when you see them at our services or sit close to you on a Sunday morning. A friendly greeting and a little conversation helps make everyone feel welcome.
There are current opportunities to offer to help with providing meals for the students at their Tuesday evening Dinner and Dialogue. Ukirk Williamsburg, our holistic faith community for students, provides a space near campus for students where they feel safe, affirmed, and supported. UKirk is a place where questions are encouraged, engaged with, and addressed providing a home for curiosity and spiritual growth.
The team this year will be extending our support to our WPC high school graduates who may be attending colleges, trade schools, or receiving professional career training. We will also continue to reach out to our gap year, graduate, seminary, and other alumni. Our ministry’s mission is to give our young adult students a safe and caring spiritual home for their continual growth through worship, education, fellowship, and service with our congregation and beyond.
Be sure to follow the Campus and Student Ministry Team’s activities and requests in our weekly bulletin and online in the weekly Looking Ahead email.
