I am so grateful for the gift you gave to me and my family of a sabbatical! I feel so refreshed and renewed from my time away. In September I will make a presentation of my experiences, trips and explorations with pictures and stories. Briefly, our family trip to Italy will be a memory of a life time. The beauty and history of Florence was overwhelming. On my trip to Edinburgh, Scotland I felt like I was treading in places my ancestors walked and learned so much about the country and history. Our extended time in Chautauqua allowed Ellen and I to be recharged and inspired in a place the Celts call a “thin place” between heaven and earth.
I am appreciative for those who kept the ship sailing while I was away; Session and Deacons, our wonderful staff led by Rev. Don.
With restored energy I look forward to ministering among you once again.
